Anticipation is high among car enthusiasts eager to catch a glimpse of Volvo's latest models, particularly given the brand's comprehensive redesign of its entire car lineup. How can we engage a wider audience and build excitement in the lead-up to the launch?

RESPONSE

A simple mechanism on Facebook gave the chance to Volvo fans to reveal the car before the launch. Users gradually uncovered different parts of the car by liking the Facebook app. Increased shares accelerated the reveal process, inviting participants to the live event.

RESULT

Despite the planned reveal of four new models, the overwhelming response from eager sign-ups surpassed expectations. The initial number of squares covering the cars had to be tripled well before the final day, underscoring the remarkable surge in interest and anticipation.
